First time I saw Kathy’s art was on the internet while looking for a special gift for a good friend of mine. I was looking for something with a special vibration , something that would touch my heart , that would have a meaning and a message. When I first layed my eyes on her paintings I knew they were pieces of someone’s very unique and beautiful soul. She sees the world and nature just as it is , extraordinary and it takes a gifted and sensitive person to put that on canvas. Besides the gift of painting , god gave her a huge heart and immense love for people and nature . She is one of a kind , i loved her sweet and kind personality from the first moment i got in touch with her without even knowing each other. Hi Kathy, Just wanted to let you know that Livi got a 5 for her AP Art Portfolio which is the highest you can get. Thanks so much again for your help. She got a lot of compliments on the piece you helped her with 🙂 Livi is applying to Ringling College of Art and Design in November, so hopefully we will get good news. I know once we get back to the island she will want to see you…hopefully we won’t have to wait too long! Hope things are going well for you! So wishing we could be there instead of here. Kathy!!! I have missed you!! You know, I was just thinking of you the other day, and wanted to so much to paint another picture with you. Remember the one we did a few years back? (if not, scroll down and u will!) That exercise really helped me heal, and it hangs in my study as a reminder of a powerful time of change in my life. Loved your new posts to the blog, and so happy for you. If we do visit Maui, will definitely be talking to you about renting that gorgeous property as well. Take care of yourself, and keep doing what you do!

Hi Kathy! Just want to let you know that I have your “gorgeous” painting sitting by me and I love, love it! God has indeed put the gift of seeing the world and then putting it to canvas so that so many of us out here can see the world through your eyes. Whew! That was a long sentence. Anyway, so excited here and can’t wait to see more of what you do. Also, can’t wait for my #2 son to get home from school so that I can show it to him. My 2 boys will surely square away at what paintings they will want and I’m sure yours will be on the “friendly” arm hold table. Thank you for the books. I would love to leave one to each son, and I’m thinking that you would be ok with that. Thank you, thank you for being so kind. Kathy, What an adventure you are on! I must apologize that we did not give you a proper farewell from our Family! We all love you dearly and treasure the time we were each able to spend painting with you, in the studio or under the redwood trees! Every time we painted with you it was a joy and a pleasure. You are such a lovely woman, a gifted artist and an inspiring teacher. Oh how we miss you! I do not know what changes in your life led you back to Hawaii. It sounds like there has been some heartache. May you find peace and serenity and healing in the lush beauty and soul of Hana! I think you are wise to retreat and take some time to heal and restore! Dear Ms. Kathy, Thank you so much for teaching Ada for this half year! You are the best teacher Ada ever had! Your fun teaching style really caught Ada’s heart! She is learning so much from you! Hello my friend!!! I wish you so much happiness that I am sure you will find in Maui. You have been a true inspiration to both Mia and me. We have thoroughly enjoyed your art class. Kathy, I just wanted to let you know how much you and your classes meant to me. For the first time in a long time I am able to do something just for me. As a woman and mother you know how hard it can be to take time for ourselves. I think your morning routine is wonderful thanks for sharing. I truly enjoyed your classes and method of teaching, you are encouraging and non-judgmental which makes the class safe to explore and develop ones creative side.
